HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08122014 - C.60RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-305-33 with Vista Staffing Solutions, Inc., corporation, effective November 1, 2013, to amend Contract #26-305-31 (as amended by #26-305-32), to modify the rate schedule to add additional classifications, with no change in the original payment limit of $1,950,000, and no change in the term from October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (Rate increase) BACKGROUND: On November 5, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-305-31 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #26-305-32) with Vista Staffing Solutions, Inc. for the provision of temporary locum tenens physicians for coverage at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers and the County’s Main Detention Facility, for the period October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-305-33 will allow the Contractor to provide additional physician classifications including Hospitalists and Critical Care Pulmonologists, through September 30, 2014. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, Contra Costa Regional Center would not have appropriate physician for coverage during peak loads and staff absences.
