FISCAL IMPACT: Acceptance of this Grant Award will result in an amount not to exceed $39,885 from the City of San Pablo, through Caltrans, for the County’s Public Health, Rumrill Boulevard/13th Street Corridor Mobility Plan Project. No County match required. This project will provide community education and develop a community vision for how Rumrill Boulevard in San Pablo will be designed. The community workshops will teach the basics of policy and planning to community members who will be prepared to provide input to the street design process. CCHS will also outreach to business owners along the corridor and lead the development of an advisory committee for the design process. The goal of the project is to provide community education on how the built environment impacts health and to gain community input on a City of San Pablo planning project that is going to redesign a stretch of Rumrill Avenue. Approval of Grant Award #28-861 will provide funding to support the County’s Public Health, Community Wellness and Prevention Program, Rumrill Boulevard/13th Street Corridor Mobility Plan Project, for the period from May 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015, including mutual indemnification to hold harmless both parties for any claims arising out of the performance of this Contract. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this award is not approved, the County will not receive funds to support the Rumrill Boulevard/13th Street Corridor Mobility Plan” project.
