ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21500 to add one (1) permanent full-time Mental Health Program
Manager (VQDC) position at salary level ZA5-1844 ($6,708 - $8,154) in the Health Services Department.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action has an annual cost of approximately $156,974.62 with pension costs already included. The
cost is fully funded by Mental Health Services Act and Federally Qualified Health Care revenues.
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department is requesting to add a Mental Health Program Manager position to be assigned to
the new George and Cynthia Miller Wellness Center providing management of all Ambulatory Care Behavioral
Health Programs. Duties include supervision of Mental Health Clinical Specialist and Community Health Workers at
the center, and Social Workers throughout the hospital and health centers. Behavioral health services include
psychiatry, short-term individual and family therapy, outpatient care for substance abuse, support groups, and crisis
management and referral in to leng-term treatment for children and adults. Upon approval, this action has an annual
cost of approximately $156,974.62, which already include pension costs. The cost is fully offset by Mental Health
Services Act and Federally Qualified Health Care revenues.
