HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08122014 - C.22RECOMMENDATION(S):
ACCEPT the resignation of Willie Moffett as the Community Based Organization representative on the Community
Corrections Partnership, which expires on December 31, 2014; DECLARE a vacancy and DIRECT the Clerk of the
Board to post the vacancy.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.
BACKGROUND:
The Community Corrections Partnership (CCP) was established in 2009 by SB 678, the "Community Corrections
Performance Incentives Act" to advise the County on the use of evidence based practices in the adult probation
population. In 2011, AB 109, and later AB 117, established the groundwork for public safety realignment in
California, which included charging local CCPs with developing Countywide realignment implementation plans.
In Contra Costa County, the Board of Supervisors has referred the review and approval of certain seats on the CCP to
the Public Protection Committee. The Committee has established a practice of recommending appointments to those
seats for a period of one-year (on a calendar year basis). Mr. Moffett's appointment was through December 31, 2014.
