FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact. In 2011, AB 109, and later AB 117, established the groundwork for public safety realignment in California, which included charging local CCPs with developing Countywide realignment implementation plans. In Contra Costa County, the Board of Supervisors has referred the review and approval of certain seats on the CCP to the Public Protection Committee. The Committee has established a practice of recommending appointments to those seats for a period of one-year (on a calendar year basis). Mr. Moffett's appointment was through December 31, 2014.
