FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact. BACKGROUND: The establishment of a speed limit, based on an engineering and traffic survey on Miranda Avenue, is necessary to allow enforcement by local authorities. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Local authorities’ power to enforce speed limits will be limited per requirements established in the California Vehicle Code. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
