D. 2 PUBLIC COMMENT (2 Minutes/Speaker) Martin Mazzanti and Nancy Mazzanti, residents of Danville, presented personal examples of the benefits implementation of Laura's Law would have for the families; Ralph Hoffmann, resident of Walnut Creek, brought attention to a recent article in the Contra Costa Times regarding Secretary of State Debra Bowens battle with clinical depression. Mr. Hoffmann encouraged awareness and compassion for the condition and suggested people write a letter to Ms. Bowen to cheer her up (handout attached); Clif Scholfield , resident of Walnut Creek, spoke on his dissatisfaction with the amount of time required to obtain a permit from the Conservation and Development Department. Interim Director John Kopchik will meet with Mr. Schofield. D.3 CONSIDER accepting the 2014 Other Post Employment Benefits Valuation Report as of January 1, 2014 including Annual Required Contributions for the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2014.
