Expanding on this opportunity, it is my plan to include a Stanford Alumni Travel Seminar into Southeast Asia. I am, pursuant to Government Code 1060-1064, requesting permission from the Board of Supervisors to be absent from the State for longer than thirty (30) days. This travel will begin after certification of the November election and will occur during December through January, a normally quiet period in the office. I will be back well in advance for any possible special election.
