Subject:Novation Contract #22-251-27 with Neighborhood House of North Richmond
BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population in providing congregate meals to an average of 25 senior citizens,
five (5) days per week, to ensure they receive at least one- third (1/3) of their daily nutritional requirements.
On November 5, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Novation Contract #22-251-26 with Neighborhood House of North
Richmond, for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014, which included a three-month automatic extension through
September 30, 2014, for the provision of congregate meal services for the Senior Nutrition Program.
Approval of Novation Contract #22-251-27 replaces the automatic extension under the prior Contract and allows the
Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2015, including modifications to Standard General Conditions and
indemnity clause.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, congregate meal service for the senior nutrition program will not be provided.
