Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a blanket
Purchase Order #47497 with Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $200,000 for reagents and
supplies for the Clinical Laboratory at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC), for the period from July 1,
2014 through June 30, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Funding is included in the Enterprise Fund I Budget.
BACKGROUND:
CCRMC’s Clinical Laboratory uses Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. reagents, various controls, methicillin resistant
staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) media, and supplies for its chemistry, urinalysis and microbiology departments.
These are used to perform tests on patients for various conditions and to check for infections.
