HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07292014 - C.85RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Change Order to Blanket Purchase Order #F47486 with Elite Biomedical, Inc. to add $21,000, for a new total amount not to exceed $120,000 for the maintenance and service of specialty medical equipment for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Contra Costa Health Centers, from September 1, 2013 through August 31, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Funding is included in Enterprise Fund I budget. BACKGROUND: CCRMC and Contra Costa Health Centers have utilized Elite Biomedical, Inc. maintenance personnel for a number of years. This vendor provides quality oriented, prompt and efficient personnel for the maintenance and repair of medical and dental equipment. This enables CCRMC and Contra Costa Health Centers to provide optimum equipment to the medical staff and patients. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this Purchase Order is not approved, CCRMC and Contra Costa Health Centers will be unable to obtain timely maintenance and service for its dental equipment and suites.
