HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07292014 - C.79RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment/Extension Agreement #72-045-1 with City of Richmond, a government agency, effective November 15, 2013, to amend Contract #72-045, to increase the payment limit by $77,177, from $50,224 to a new payment limit of $127,401, and extend the term from August 14, 2014 through November 14, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Public Health Institution Grant Funds. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: In May 2013, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed, Contract #72-045 with the City of Richmond for the provision of coordination services between community partners and other stakeholders to facilitate the construction of five water stations and to promote the health benefits of drinking water to residents of Richmond’s Iron Triangle area, for the period from August 15, 2012 through August 14, 2014. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, the City will not have access to funds to promote the health benefits of water or construct water stations for members of the community.
