HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07292014 - C.72RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the Public Works Director, a purchase order amendment with Access Hardware Supply to increase the payment limit by $230,000 to a new payment limit of $425,000, for hardware and hardware supplies for the period of August 1, 2012 through July 31, 2015, Countywide. (100% General Fund) FISCAL IMPACT: The cost is to be funded through the Fiscal Year 14/15 Facilities Maintenance Budget. (100% General Fund) BACKGROUND: Facilities Services (Facilities) maintains all County buildings. Door frames, closures, hinges, and latch bars are a part of this maintenance. As bid on Bidsync No. 1207-005, Access Hardware Supply was the lowest responsive hardware vendor. The original amount of the purchase order with Access Hardware Supply was for $195,000 and is now exhausted. Facilities is requesting to increase the amount of the purchase order to $425,000. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, purchasing door and lock hardware at bid prices from Access Hardware Supply will discontinue.
