HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07292014 - C.53RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE the Lease with Youth Homes, Inc., for the 3,440 square foot, County-owned buildings located at 2025 Sherman Drive, Pleasant Hill, for use as a children’s group home emergency shelter and residential counseling services, for three years, commencing July 1, 2014 and ending June 30, 2016, for $2,400 per month, under the terms and conditions set forth in the Lease. (WLP841) AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute the Lease on behalf of the County, and to exercise any renewal options. FISCAL IMPACT: 80% Federal and State; 20% General Fund. BACKGROUND: The County-owned buildings have been used for a children’s group home facility in the City of Pleasant Hill since 2000. The Employment and Human Services Department has signed a separate service contract with the Youth Homes, Inc., wherein Youth Homes will provide and operate a children’s group home emergency shelter and residential treatment home facility for homeless children ages 12 to 17 on behalf of the County at 2025 Sherman Drive in Pleasant Hill.
