HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07292014 - C.46RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21478 to add three (3) Social Worker (X0VC) (represented) positions at salary level 255 1434 ($4,470 - $5,433) in the Workforce Services Bureau of the Employment and Human Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: These positions will be 100% funded by the CalWORKS Family Stabilization Program allocation. Upon approval, this action will increase salary and benefits by $338,904 and will not impact the net county costs during the current year. The pension obligation will increase by a total of $121,428 annually. (80% Federal funds and 20% State funds). BACKGROUND: The Family Stabilization Program will provide targeted wrap-around services such as family crisis counseling services, intensified client contacts, and criminal arrest history assistance to identified clients and their family. Social Workers will contact those clients involved in Family Stabilization once weekly to assess the clients stability and determine their needs on an ongoing bases. Social Workers are the foundation of the program model for Family Stabilization. These positions are critical to the implementation of the program and provisions of these state mandated services.
