HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07292014 - C.44RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21436 to establish the classification of Voter Education and Engagement Specialist- Project (EBV1) (unrepresented) and set at salary plan and grade C85 1409 ($4362-$5302) and add one (1) full time position; establish the classification of Voter Education and Engagement Assistant - Project (EBW1) (unrepresented) and set at plan and grade D85-1201 ($3412-$4147) and add one (1) part-time (20/40) position in the Clerk-Recorder's Office. FISCAL IMPACT: The total annual cost associated with these actions is $345,436 and is covered in the fiscal year 2014/15 budget. BACKGROUND: On December 13, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved the County Clerk-Recorder's Voter Outreach and Education Program and recommended that the Clerk-Recorder work with the County Administrator and Director of Human Resources to develop the necessary classifications for the program. The Program is being established as a fixed term pilot program that will gradually be transitioned to community-based program administration. Consequently, staff positions are requested to be established in the Project status.
