HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07292014 - C.32RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Resolution 2014/265 designating the Assistant Risk Manager as the official alternate representative to act on behalf of Contra Costa County with regard to official matters of the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Excess Insurance Authority (EIA), as recommended by the Risk Manager. FISCAL IMPACT: None. BACKGROUND: in 1980, Contra Costa County joined the CSAC EIA for procurement of insurance and risk management services. In order to ensure that individuals are authorized to fully act on behalf of their respective entity, CSAC EIA requires the governing board of all member entities to officially designate a representative and an alternate representative who have authority to officially act on behalf of their entity. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Inability to effectively act on behalf of Contra Costa County with regard to official matters of the CSAC EIA.
