Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#23–455-6 with Xerox Consultant Company, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $275,000, to provide
professional consultation and technical support for the Department’s Health Services Information System for the
period from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by budgeted Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On November 3, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23–455-4 (as amended by Contract Amendment
Agreement #23-455-5), with Xerox Consulting Company, Inc. (formerly ACS Consulting Company, Inc.), for the
period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014, for the provision of professional consultation and technical support
for the Department’s Health Services Information System. ACS Consultant Company, Inc. has now changed its name
to Xerox Consultant Company, Inc.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
#23–455-6, will allow the Contractor to continue to provide professional consultation and technical support, through
June 30, 2015, including modifications to County’s standard indemnification clause and General Conditions.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, Contractor will not be able to provide support services for the Department’s
Information Systems.
