Melander, resident of El Sobrante, commented on the process of raising taxes in California and expressed the opinion that businesses are leaving the state because of tax concerns; Eli Dominguez, resident of Martinez, alleged poor and abusive customer service at a county facility for mental health patients; Jeff Bell, Tobacco Prevention Coalition, on the restriction of sales of e-cigarettes and funding for advocacy for enforcement of the ordinances. Alex Alifaris, Contra Costa Taxpayers Association, inquired as to the bill number assigned to Assemblymember Skinners legislation on sales tax measures for Contra Costa County.
