PRESENTATION of the People Who Make a Difference Awards, acknowledging individuals that have significantly
contributed towards reducing substance abuse in Contra Costa communities, as recommended by the Health Services
Director.

Not applicable.
BACKGROUND:
Once a year the Contra Costa County Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board acknowledges both volunteer and
non-volunteer individuals and groups that have significantly contributed towards reducing the abuse of alcohol and
other drugs in Contra Costa communities.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The individuals who have significantly contributed toward reducing alcohol and other drug use in Contra Costa
County will not be recognized.
