tax.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The County entered into a contract with EMC Research to conduct a public opinion poll of 800 Contra Costa County
registered voters regarding support for a potential countywide sales tax. Staff of EMC Research will discuss the
methodology of the survey and present the poll results to the Board of Supervisors.
The County Administrator will report on the most current status of Assemblymember Nancy Skinner's proposed
legislation to authorize Contra Costa County to pursue a countywide sales tax.
