HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06242014 - C.87RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent to execute, on behalf of the Chief Information Officer, a purchase order amendment with Tessco Technologies, to change the termination date from June 30, 2014 to June 30, 2016 with no change to the payment limit of $150,000 to provide radio and telecommunications parts and supplies. FISCAL IMPACT: $150,000 (100% User Fees); the entire cost is charged to the ordering department through DoIT's billing process. BACKGROUND: The Department of Information Technology's Telecommunications and Radio divisions need to be able to readily purchase radio and telecommunications parts and supplies, as needed, in order to complete Work Order requests and other jobs submitted by their customers. The pricing is pursuant to General Services Administration Federal Acquisition Service contract number GS-35F-0548P. In accordance with Administrative Bulletin No. 611.0, County departments are required to obtain Board approval for single item purchases exceeding $100,000. The County Administrator's Office has reviewed this request and recommends approval. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If the action is not approved, DoIT will not have the necessary authority to process and pay anticipated expenses through the Blanket Purchase Order.
