HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06242014 - C.66RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #24-718-1 with Recovery Innovations, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $1,032,058 to provide community-based mental health support services for adults, including the operation of Community Centers throughout the County and County’s Mental Health Service Provider Individualized Recovery Intensive Training (SPIRIT) program, for the period from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 68% by Mental Health Services Act and 32% Mental Health Realignment. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) in working with in the local mental health service delivery system. On January 14, 2014, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #24-718 with Recovery Innovations, Inc., for the provision of community-based mental health services to adults, and to operate the Wellness Recovery Centers in each region of the County and provide support and stipends for clients who attend Mental Health Service Provider Individualized Recovery Intensive Training, for the period from January 1, 2014 through June 30, 2014. Approval of Contract #24-718-1, will allow Contractor to continue to provide community-based mental health support services including operation of Wellness and Recovery Centers, through June 30, 2015. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, the County’s Adult Mental Health clients will not have access to BHSD/Mental Health community services provided by this Contractor, leading to reduced levels of mental health support and training services throughout the County.
