HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06242014 - C.57RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #24–312–34 with Asian Community Mental Health Board (dba Asian Community Mental Health Services), a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $150,000 to provide interpretation services for Mental Health Southeast Asian refugees in West Contra Costa County, for the period from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment. The provision of language assistance services is also required by State law and regulations. On June 4, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #24–312–33 with Asian Community Mental Health Board (dba Asian Community Mental Health Services), for provision of translation services to Southeast Asian refugees in West Contra Costa County, for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014. Approval of Contract #24–312–34 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services, through June 30, 2015. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, Southeast Asian refugees in West County will not receive translation services regarding their healthcare. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
