Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, submission of application (County
#29-548) to the California Health Facilities Financing Authority, in an amount not to exceed $551,511 for the
Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD)/Mental Health, Contra Costa Mobile Crisis Support Teams Project, for
the period from April 24, 2014 through June 30, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this application by the California Health Facilities Financing Authority will result in an amount not to
exceed $552,511 for the Contra Costa Mobile Crisis Support Teams Project, through June 30, 2015. No County
match required.
BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa County will expand an existing mobile crisis program to establish a new mobile crisis support team.
The County will increase access and capacity by adding three new vehicles, hire three full -time Mental Health
Clinicians, and hire one part-time community support worker. Two vehicles will be operated by the County to
service the Adult System of Care. The County will collaborate with its designated service provider, Seneca Family of
Agencies, to operate

Approval of application #29-548 will allow the County to submit an application to receive funding to support the
Contra Costa Mobile Crises Team through June 30, 2015.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this application is not approved, the County will not receive funding to support the Mobile Crisis Support Teams
Project in Contra Costa County.
