ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21473 to transition one (1) Substance Abuse Counselor - Project
(VHV3) (represented) position #14547 at salary level QT5 1436 ($4,479-$5,444) and the incumbent into the Merit
System in the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, there will be no additional cost associated with this action.
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department is requesting to transition one Substance Abuse Counselor - Project position #14547
into the Merit System. The incumbent in this position meets the criteria for transfer into the merit system as outlined
in the Personnel Management Regulations, Section 1603. The position is assigned to the Alcohol and Other Drugs
unit of the Behavioral Health Division and is funded through a Juvenile Behavioral Health Collaborative grant and a
Reentry Court grant. Funding is stable and ongoing.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, incumbent will not receive the benefits of being a Merit System employee.
