Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #74-341-70(2) with Bay Area Doctors Inc., a professional corporation, effective April 1,
2014, to amend Contract #74-341-70(1), to increase the payment limit by $165,000, from $300,000 to a new
payment limit of $465,000, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2014
FISCAL IMPACT:
This amendment is funded 50% Federal Medi-Cal funds and 50% State General Fund. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On August 21, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74-341-70(1) with Bay Area Doctors Inc. for the
provision of Medi-Cal specialty mental health services, for the period from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2014.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #74-341-70(2) will allow the Contractor to provide addition-al
Medi-Cal specialty mental health services through June 30, 2014.
