Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#27-204-7 with Comprehensive Psychiatric Services, A Medical Group, a corporation, in an amount not to exceed
$200,000, to provide professional psychiatry services for the Contra Costa Health Plan for the period from June 1,
2014 through May 31, 2016.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% Enterprise Fund III. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
The Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized professional health care services for its members
under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County. On May 15, 2012,
the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-204-6 with Comprehensive Psychiatric Services, A Medical Group
for the provision of professional psychiatry services, for the period from June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2014.
Approval of Contract #27-204-7 will allow Contractor to continue providing professional psychiatry services through
May 31, 2016.
