Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#26-745-1 with Nebraska Medical Solutions Staffing, LLC, a limited liability corporation, in an amount not to exceed
$1,500,000, to provide temporary nursing and medical professionals for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center,
Contra Costa Health Centers (CCRMC), and the County’s Detention Facilities, for the period from June 1, 2014
through June 30, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded in the Health Services Department Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On June 25, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-745 with Nebraska Medical Solutions Staffing,
LLC, (formerly Nurse Travel Staffing, LLC), to provide temporary registered nurses, nurse practitioners, surgical
technicians, and physician assistants to provide coverage during peak workloads, temporary absences and emergency
situations at CCRMC, and the County’s

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Detention Facilities, through May 31, 2014.
Under Contract #26-745-1, Nebraska Medical Solutions Staffing, LLC will provide professional temporary registered
nurses, and medical professionals at CCRMC, and the County’s Detention Facilities, through June 30, 2015.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, patients at CCRMC and the County's Main Detention Facility would not have access
to Contractor’s services, which may result in a reduction in the levels of service to the community.
