Subject:Ratify contracts, with modified insurance requirements, between the County and the Central & East Network
Manager and Field Operations Coordinators
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Office negotiated the terms of those contracts with the contractors that will comprise the Network Management
Team. In consultation with Risk Management, the County Administrator’s Office negotiated changes to the standard
insurance requirements of the County’s standard terms and conditions for services contracts (County Form L-5,
paragraph 19). The new insurance requirements require members of the Network Management Team to maintain
automobile insurance policies in specified amounts, and to name the County as an additional insured under those
policies.
The County Administrator, or his designee, executed the Network Management Team Contracts on behalf of the
County, and recommends that the Board of Supervisors ratify the execution of those contracts with the modified
insurance requirements.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the Board of Supervisors does not ratify the contracts, the modified insurance requirements may not be effective.
