HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06172014 - C.56RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #23-533-5 with Vonlay, LLC, a limited liability company, effective January 1, 2014, to amend Contract #23-533-4, to increase the payment limit by $820,000, from $1,080,000 to a new payment limit of $1,900,000, with no change in the original term of October 1, 2013 September 30, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On November 5, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-533-4 with Vonlay, LLC for the provision of professional consulting, technical support, training, and project management for Department’s information systems at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers (CCRMC), for the period from October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014. At the time the Contract was negotiated, the payment limit was based on target levels of utilization. Therefore, the Division is requesting a January 1, 2014 effective date for this Amendment. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #23-533-5 will allow the Contractor to provide additional hours of consultation and technical assistance with regard to the Division’s information systems through June 30, 2015. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, County will not have access to Contractor’s expert technical assistance with regard to support and optimization of the Electronic Health Record Project.
