Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #23-548-1 with Intratek Computer, Inc., a corporation, effective March 1, 2014, to amend
Contract #23-548, to increase the payment limit by $210,000, from $100,000 to a new payment limit of $310,000,
with no change in the original term of July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
In August 2013, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed, Contract
#23-548 with Intratek Computer, Inc. for the provision of contract-to-hire and/or direct placement candidates for hard
to fill positions in the Health Services Department’s Information Systems Unit, for the period from July 1, 2013
through June 30, 2014.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
payment limit was determined based on target levels of utilization. During the term of the Contract, at the
Department’s request, Contractor provided recruitment services exceeding the target levels. The Department is
requesting March 1, 2014 effective date for this Amendment to cover payment demands for services provided in
good faith.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #23-548-1 will allow the Contractor to additional provide
contract-to-hire and direct placement recruitment services through June 30, 2014.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, the Department will not have access to Contractor’s recruitment services for hard
to fill information technology positions.
