An adverse reaction monitoring system and outbreak control team are also included in the Program. On March 27, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Standard Agreement #29-208-79 with the California Department of Public Health, Immunization Assistance Program, for the period from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2013 for continuation of the Immunization Assistance Program. Approval of this Standard Agreement #29-208-80 will allow the County to continue providing services through June 30, 2017, including agreeing to indemnify and hold the State harmless for claims arising out of the County’s performance under this agreement. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this agreement is not approved, the County would lose funding to support and monitor the compliance of preschools, elementary schools, and secondary schools in meeting State-mandated immunization requirements through in-service programs to prevent the occurrence and transmission of childhood diseases. Further, the County would no longer receive free vaccine from the State. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
