Subject:Juvenile Accountability Block Grant
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
County's portion of the allocation is $47,125. It is the intent of the Probation Department to utilize the JABG funding
toward the continuance of collaborative efforts of the East County Juvenile Drug Collaboration Program, and would
partially fund one (1) Deputy Probation Officer and one (1) Probation Supervisor position.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Absent this Federal funding, the County would suffer a reduction in delinquency prevention services for youth with
substance abuse issues in Contra Costa County.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Probation Department would no longer be able to fund delinquency prevention services for youth with substance
abuse issues within the County.
