APPROVE Appropriation and Revenue Adjustment No. 5085 and AUTHORIZE the transfer of revenue from
Employment and Human Services Department, Administration Division (EHSD Admin), Fund 100300 and
appropriate it to Fleet Internal Service Fund (ISF), Autos & Trucks (Fleet), Fund 150100 in the amount of $71,732.00
to replace vehicles #0330, #0331, and #0332 as recommended by the Public Works Director, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The purchase of the new vehicles will be funded 67% through the Reserve for Depreciation GL Account of the
General Fund, and 33% through EHSD Admin's budgeted funds.
BACKGROUND:
Vehicles #0330, #0331, and #0332 are all deemed ready for replacement by the Fleet Manager. The vehicles to be
retired are non-ISF vehicles. EHSD Admin wants the replacement vehicles to be purchased as ISF vehicles. The total
purchase cost of the replacement vehicles is $71,732.00. Depreciation of $48,129.00 is being released to EHSD
Admin and reappropriated to Fleet. The remaining $23,603.00 of the cost of the new vehicles is being reappropriated
to Fleet from EHSD Admin, Non County Professional Specialized Services.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Employment and Human Services Department would not be able to purchase vehicles to replace the retired
vehicles. Their ability to serve the public would be restricted.
