Date: June 6 2014 Public Comment
Jim Neu, resident of Martinez, requested the Board consider moving public comment to the beginning of
the day and spoke on available grant funds to conduct a hazardous material commodity flow study; Ann
Punch, resident of Rodeo, also urged the Board to undertake a hazardous materials commodities flow
study; Richard Fisherd, resident of Richmond, spoke on the upcoming closure of Doctor's Medical Center;
Alex Alifaris, Contra Costa Taxpayers Association, said that Ventura County has qualified a pension
reform measure for the November ballot, and recommended a report by the California Policy Center, dated
May 4, 2014 as informative reading.
Alberto Ramon, resident of El Sobrante, and Patty Casentini, resident of El Sobrante, did not speak, but left
written comments for the Board's consideration (attached).
