HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06032014 - C.131RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to purchase one hundred (100) Safeway supermarket gift cards in the amount of $5 each for a total of $500 to use as incentives for participation in the Health Care for the Homeless Focus Groups for the Healthcare for the Homeless Grant Project, for the period January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: Funded 100% by the US Health and Human Services Grant #H80CS00050. No County funds required. BACKGROUND: Public Health Clinic Services program received a five (5) year grant to provide health care for the homeless in Contra Costa County. A component of the grant is to conduct monthly focus groups with participants in the program and to offer incentives to those who participate. Included in the grant budget is a line item for the gift card incentives at an annual amount of $500.00.
