HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06032014 - C.111RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #26-767 with Yu-Ming Chang, M.D., a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $450,000, to provide professional gastroenterology services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers (CCRMC) for the period from August 1, 2014 through July 31, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: For many years the County has contracted with Medical, Dental, and Mental Health specialists or order to provide specialty services not otherwise available at its hospital and health centers. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, patients requiring professional gastroenterology services at CCRMC will not have access to Contractor’s services, which may result in a reduction in the overall levels of service to the community.
