HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06032014 - C.91RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Administrator, or designee, to execute a contract with the City of Walnut Creek, permitting the County to provide periodic maintenance to the City's UHF and 800 MHz legacy radio infrastructure, as well as provide any requested radio communication services at the rate of $120 an hour for services performed, plus the cost of any materials and required equipment until the contract is terminated by either party. FISCAL IMPACT: Revenue for DoIT's Telecommunications division. BACKGROUND: DoIT's Telecommunications division will provide the City of Walnut Creek with telecommunications-related professional services. The County Department of Information Technology will provide periodic maintenance on the City's UHF and 800MHz legacy radio infrastructure, including remote repeaters, remote receivers, pre-amplifiers, antennas, combiners, circulators, duplexers, multiplexers, digital TENSR transmission units, cabling, wiring, voter-comparators, transmitter steering devices, and other necessary and appurtenant devices up to, but not including, the MCC7500 CCGW demarcation point at the Walnut Creek City Hall technology center, as well as provide any requested radio communication services at the rate of $120 an hour plus the cost of any materials and required equipment. This contract continues until it is terminated by the County or the City by providing 30 days written notice to the other party.
