APPROVE the Lease with Contra Costa Community College District for a term of one year beginning May 1, 2014
and ending April 30, 2015, for approximately 2,652 square feet of classroom space located at 2600 Mission Bell
Drive, San Pablo, at a rent of $4,280 per month, as requested by the Employment and Human Services Department -
Community Services Bureau, under the terms and conditions set forth in the Lease. (WLP824)
AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute the Lease on behalf of the County.
FISCAL IMPACT:
50% Federal (Early Head Start) and 50% State (California Department of Education).
BACKGROUND:
The County has been leasing the premises at 2600 Mission Bell Drive in San Pablo since 2003. The County operates
Head Start and child development programs at that location for use by the local college and community. This Lease
will provide for the continuation of those services.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Lease for these premises will not be renewed, the County will not provide Head Start and child development
