HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06032014 - C.78RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21464 to add one (1) permanent full-time Senior Health Education Specialist (VMWE) position at salary level QT5-1543 ($4,979 - $6,052) and cancelling vacant permanent full-time Public Health Program Specialist I (VBSD) position #15572 at salary level ZA5-1602 ($5,279 - $6,416) in the Health Services Department. (Represented) FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual salary savings of approximately $6,429. BACKGROUND: The Health Services Department is requesting to add one Senior Health Education Specialist position assigned to the Public Health Division. This position has major responsibility for the educational aspects of the Community Wellness and Prevention Program. To offset the cost, the Department is cancelling vacant Public Health Program Specialist I position #15572. This position has never been filled and the Department has determined that the Senior Health Education Specialist classification better reflects the duties and responsibilities of the position. Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost savings of approximately $6,420. If this action is not approved, the position will not be appropriately classified.
