HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06032014 - C.76RECOMMENDATION(S): Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21463 to add one Mental Health Clinical Specialist (VQSB) position at salary level QT2 1384 ($4382.92 - 6506.46) and cancel Mental Health Employment Placement Specialist position numbers 14784 (4040) and 14785 (20/40) in the Health Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in a cost savings of approximately $19,497 annually. BACKGROUND: The requested Mental Health Clinical Specialist position will be assigned to the Mental Health Services Act First Hope Program in the Behavioral Health Division. This position will work as part of a team responsible for assessing and addressing the educational needs of mental health clients. Critical duties of the position will include assessing the client's functioning within the school enviornment and collaborating with school staff to develop educational programming that meets the clients needs and attending IEP meetings and advocating on behalf of the client. The Mental Health Employment Placement Specialist positions are vacant and are being used as cost offset.
