HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06032014 - C.71RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21440 to reclassify one Administrative Services Officer (APDB) (unrepresented) position No. 13936 and its incumbent at salary plan and grade B82 1692 ($5,948-$7,999) to District Attorney Chief of Administrative Services (APDD) (unrepresented) at salary plan and grade B82 1894 ($7,264 -$8,851) in the District Attorney's office. FISCAL IMPACT: $17,011 annually, $4,577 of which is attributable to employer pension costs; 100% General Fund. The proposed increase will be offset by continued salary savings from ongoing vacancies. BACKGROUND: Upon review of the duties performed by the incumbent it was established that the position is improperly classified. As a result of the election 2010 the incumbent assumed additional responsibilities in working with the newly elected District Attorney and an all new management team. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: This position is a pivotal and critical position in the District Attorney's office and if this action is not approved the District Attorney's office will be unable to compensate the incumbent appropriately for the level of work being performed.
