For Families Free of Violence to increase the payment limit by $59,409 to a new payment limit of $297,045 for domestic violence support services, and extend the term from June 30, 2014 to September 30, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: $297,045: 100% State Single Allocation CalWORKs BACKGROUND: Contractor was selected as a result of competitive bid process. STAND! For Families Free of Violence provides a wide array of domestic violence services tailored to meet the specific needs of the Workforce Services Bureau. Services include California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) domestic violence liaisons at Employment and Human Services Department offices, technical assistance, consultation, and domestic violence identification and skills training, on-site capacity building, and linkages for domestic violence victims to community resources. For Families Free of Violence for Domestic Violence Support Services CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: CalWORKs clients will be unable to continue to receive domestic violence services. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: This contract supports all five of the community outcomes in the Children's Report Card: 1) "Children Ready for and Succeeding in School"; 2) "Children and Youth Healthy and Preparing for Productive Adulthood"; 3) "Families that are Economically Self Sufficient"; 4) "Families that are Safe, Stable and Nurturing"; and, "Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families" by providing information and services to assist those who are victims or at risk of domestic violence.
