HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05132014 - C.30RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE the Lease with the Madden Family Trust for a ten-year term for approximately 4,188 square feet of office space located at 1430 Willow Pass Road, Suite 100 and 105, Concord, at a rent of $6,910 per month, for occupancy by the Health Services Department, under the terms and conditions set forth in the Lease. (WLP813) AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute the Lease on behalf of the County, and to exercise any options to extend the Lease. FISCAL IMPACT: 47% AB109 Realignment funds and 53% County General Fund. BACKGROUND: The Health Services Department requires this office space for expansion of its Forensic Services program. The Lease will obligate the County to pay a total rent of $82,920 for the first year of the term. Rent will then be increased by the Consumer Price Index each year thereafter. All operating expenses will be paid by the Lessor. As a condition of the Lease, the property owner requires the County to indemnify them.
