HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05132014 - C.25RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE Appropriations and Revenue Adjustment No. 5071 authorizing the transfer of appropriations in the amount of $23,917 from Public Defender (0243) to General Services - ISF Fleet Services (0064) for the purchase of a vehicle to support the increase of investigator staff. FISCAL IMPACT: This action increases appropriations in General Services - Fleet Operations (0064) and reduces appropriations in the Office of the Public Defender (0243) by $23,917. BACKGROUND: The Office of the Public Defender has seen substatial growth in our staff over the past two years. There has been a significant increase in felony filings as well as significant increase in felony probation violation filings. We were recently granted an additional Invstigator I position for the FY 2014-2015 with that additional position there is need to purchase a vehicle to go along with that position. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If we are unable to purchase this vehicle the duties of the investigator position can not be met.
