Subject:ADOPT Resolution No. 2014/155 terminating and abandoning a portion of an Offer of Dedication within Willow Pass
Business Park, Concord area.
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
The County accepted the final map that included an Offer of dedication to the public for the use of public utilities,
including construction, access or maintenance of works, improvements, and structures or the clearing of
obstructions and vegetation, affecting various Assessor’s Parcel Numbers. The County did not accept the Offer of
Dedication.
The applicants, Thomas/DeNova, LLC, et al. and JA & AJ, Inc., have requested that the County Terminate and
abandon a portion of the Offer of Dedication in order to remove the encumbrance from the title report.
It has been determined that the offered areas affecting Lots, 15, 16, and 17 are no longer needed and will not be
used for the purpose for which they are dedicated. It has also been determined that portions of the dedicated area
affecting the northern boundary of Lot 14 and the westerly portion of Lot 18 are no longer needed and will not be
used for the purpose for which they were dedicated.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The County may be responsible for the maintenance of an area that is not required for purpose for which it was
dedicated.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
