HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04292014 - C.53RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase Order with Complete Imaging Systems, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $600,000 for fax and printer supplies and repairs for the Health Services Department, for the period from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2016 FISCAL IMPACT: 100% funding is included in the Enterprise Fund I Budget. BACKGROUND: Complete Imaging Systems, Inc. has been providing supplies and repairing Health Services fax machines and other equipment for the past twelve years. Divisions with repair needs call the vendor, who comes immediately to their location to repair the machine. Complete Imaging Systems, Inc. also sells printer and fax ink cartridges at a lower rate than other vendors and delivers them very quickly. It is essential that the Health Services Department’s fax machines and printers are kept operating and that new cartridges be available at a competitive price when needed. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this Blanket Purchase Order is not approved Health Services will either be greatly hampered in its ability to conduct business, or will have to seek similar services from another vendor who may charge higher rates for supplies and less responsive service.
