HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04292014 - C.52RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent on behalf of the Health Services Department to execute Purchase Order #37086 with Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $500,000, for compounding of Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and Peripheral Parenteral Nutrition (PPN) Intravenous (IV) solutions for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from April 1, 2014 through March 31, 2017. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Funding is included in the Enterprise Fund l budget. BACKGROUND: The Contra Costa Regional Medical Center Pharmacy Department has been using Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc. (CAPS) for compounding services since May, 2005. TPN and PPN, as well as certain IV medications are outsourced to CAPS.
