HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04292014 - C.38RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of Health Services Department, to execute a Change Order to Blanket Purchase Order # F49166 with Stryker Sales Corporation, to add $150,000 for a new total of $249,000 for the purchase of surgical supplies and equipment and equipment repair for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Contra Costa Health Centers from September 1, 2013 through August 31, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% funded in Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: Stryker Sales Corporation, Endoscopy Division has been used by the CCRMC and Contra Costa Health Centers to provide the surgery department with endoscopic supplies and equipment such as hi flow tubing, dri-lok cannulas, insufflation tubing, scopes, cameras and fiber-optic cords. Stryker Sales Corporation, Endoscopy Division support such services as arthroscopic, laparoscopic, gynecological and Ears, Nose Throat. In addition equipment repairs will be added to the Blanket Purchase Order for maximum patient safety. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this Purchase Order is not approved, CCRMC will be unable to provide surgical procedures, thus impacting patient care. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
