Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21448 to add one Clerk - Senior Level position (JWXC) at salary level
3RX 1033 ($2882.23 - 3680.73) in the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $78,072, including pension costs of $15,679,
and will be funded by Contra Costa Health Plan Capitation funds.
BACKGROUND:
On January 1, 2014, the Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) became responsible for the delivery of mental health services through their provider
network to beneficiaries with mild to moderate impairment of mental, emotional, or behavioral functioning resulting from a mental health
disorder. The Mental Health Care Management Unit's Access Line is assisting CCHP in administering this new benefit, so additional staff is
needed to serve this population including clerical support to support the increased functions of the Care Management Unit. Duties of the
requested Senior Clerk position will include: logging

the consumer's name, date of referral, and acuity level; tracking the referrals process and following up with the
consumer to see if they were able to access the referrals provided; providing additional referrals as needed, based
on these follow up calls; and providing monthly reports to CCHP.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, services to mental health clients could be adversely impacted.
